Basil pesto

A simple dish, quick and without any fuss? But still super tasty? For the quick end of the day, the indecisive or also as a perfect gift.

  • 1 Seedbar Basil
  • 60 g parmesan cheese
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 120 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Step 1

Remove the Basil leaves from the largest stems and put them in a container that is not too wide so that you can blend them well. Peel the garlic and add it, as well as the salt. Pour in the olive oil. Now finely blend the ingredients with a hand mixer.

Step 2

Finely grate the parmesan and add to the pesto (do not blend any more!).

Step 3

The pesto can now be eaten directly or filled into jars. When filling, make sure that the top is covered with olive oil. This way the pesto will keep fresh in the fridge for a few weeks.

Tip: Make sure you use good olive oil. Next to Basil, it is the second main ingredient and therefore crucial for the taste.
